Blueberry Cream Cheese Tart

Ingredients
- 8 oz Cream Cheese
- ½ Cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- ½ tsp Fresh Ground Nutmeg or 1/4 tsp of pre-ground
- 3 Cups Fresh Blueberries
- ⅔ Cup Water
- ½ Cup Sugar
- ¼ Cup Whipping Cream
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch can add up to extra 1/2 tbsp
- 1 ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 Ready Bake Pie Crust
Instructions
- Place pie crust into tart pan or pie pan and bake per instruction on the box. When the crust is finished baking, set it aside to cool.
- Take cream cheese and heat in microwave till soft. Stir carefully not to burn ones self.
- Add powdered sugar and stir till smooth.
- Add Nutmeg and vanilla and stir till combined.
- Set aside for later assembly of tart.
- In small pot over medium heat add blueberries and water and sugar, stirring carefully not to damage blueberries.
- When mixture begins to simmer add whipping cream. Then through sifter add the cornstarch slowly (don’t want to have lumps) stirring consistently
- When mixture thickens take off heat and add vanilla.
- Set mixture aside for assembly.
- To assemble the tart, take the cooled pie crust and add the cream cheese mixture to bottom on the pie crust.
- Now take the Blueberry mixture and spoon blueberry sauce over the cream cheese, getting more berries the liquid, some liquid ok. You can use remaining liquid as ice cream topping.
- Chill Tart till ready to serve.
